Welcome to Clinicare QLD, where compassionate healthcare meets community empowerment. Meet Shauna, the driving force behind our mission to bridge healthcare gaps, advocate for holistic patient care, and empower rural and remote communities.
Born in Papua New Guinea, Shauna understands firsthand the importance of healthcare in fostering thriving communities. In 2011, Shauna embarked on a journey that would shape her into a seasoned nursing professional. Graduating from JCU Cairns with a Bachelor of Nursing Science, Shauna dedicated 12 years to Cairns Hospital, gaining extensive experience in Orthopaedics/trauma, Surgical, Medical, Intensive care, and Community nursing.

A Vision Takes Root
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Shauna observed a pressing need for routine nursing care among NDIS patients. The challenges they faced, from long waiting periods for GP appointments to ineligibility for QLD health community nursing, motivated Shauna to make a difference.
Bridging Healthcare Gaps
In 2021, Shauna took a bold step and founded Clinicare QLD to cater specifically to NDIS participants in need of community nursing. Clinicare QLD is committed to providing essential care services to those who need it the most and is now an NDIS registered provider.
Our Mission
Empowering Remote Communities
Clinicare QLD envisions reaching clients as far as the outer islands in the Torres Strait and remote communities in the far north. Our team, comprised of QLD health-trained nurses, aims to connect rural and remote communities with specialists in Cairns, Townsville, and Brisbane.
Advocating for Holistic Patient Care
We believe in holistic patient care that goes beyond immediate needs. Our dedicated team advocates for the overall well-being of individuals, fostering a sense of community and support.
