NDIS Support Worker
Clinicare QLD is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated NDIS Support Worker to join our team in the Cairns Southside area.
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and committed to supporting participants to live independently and confidently within their homes and communities. This role offers flexible shifts ranging from 2 to 5 hours, Monday to Sunday, providing the opportunity to create a schedule that suits your availability.
As an NDIS Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred support tailored to each participant’s goals and needs.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Community access and social participation
- Personal care, where required
- Domestic assistance and household support
- Skill development and capacity building
- Social support and companionship
- Transport to appointments and activities
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid National Police Check
- Working With Children Check, where applicable
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Experience in disability support or community care
- Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module
- A reliable, patient and person-centred approach

Support Worker (PNG and Torres Strait Islander Background Preferred)
Clinicare QLD is seeking compassionate, reliable and culturally aware Support Workers from Papua New Guinea and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for individuals who speak Tok Pisin or Pidgin and have experience supporting participants with dementia or behavioural needs. Your cultural knowledge and language skills will play a vital role in ensuring participants feel understood, respected and safe within their support environment.
You will provide person-centred disability support and assist participants with:
- Dementia-informed care
- Behavioural support
- Social connection and companionship
- Community access and engagement
- Daily living assistance
- Culturally respectful communication and support
Flexible and family-friendly shifts are available.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following:
- Ability to speak Tok Pisin or Pidgin
- PNG or Torres Strait Islander background preferred
